Lara & Luke's pre-wedding shoot

Saturday morning was spent shooting on location in one of my favourite places - Yeovil's well-kept secret, Ninesprings Country Park.  Lara and Luke are getting married in three short weeks so we headed to the Park for an hour or so and had a bit of fun with their engagement shoot.
The weather was perfect for photography - dry, overcast with not so much as a light breeze in the air. Just as we called it a day and started walking back to the cars, the heavens opened and what seemed like a hurricane came from nowhere, complete with thunder and lightning!
Luckily, I always come prepared for the worst with enormous white 'golfing' umbrellas, which added an extra dimension to the photos. Lara has a striking combination of dark hair and the most piercing blue-green eyes - doesn't she look beautiful?  Here are my favourites from the shoot.

Wedding Fayre

A big 'hello' and thank you to everyone who came to meet us on our stand at the Holiday Inn wedding fair, Filton on Sunday. (Apologies for low quality image which was taken on a mobile phone.) 

The hotel's rather uninspiring facade belies a funky interior - I love the reception counter. The bar areas are modern and comfortable and even the corridors are filled with comfy leather sofas, armchairs and mood lighting.

And who would guess there was a fishing lake with resident heron in the beautifully kept grounds to the rear?! I'm already looking forward to meeting new clients at the next fayre here on Sunday 9th January 2011 - put in in your diary now!

Kath and Ricky's wedding

Blue skies on 12th September for Kath and Ricky's wedding, meant we could take some great portraits in the fabulous grounds of the Holiday Inn, Filton. Their matching diamond studded wedding bands were stunning - as were Kath's gorgeous shoes, even though she could only wear them for the duration of the 15 minute ceremony, after which silver sparkly flip-flops were the footwear of choice!

Sam and Steve had their pre-wedding shoot at the picturesque Ninesprings Country Park in Yeovil on 5th September. The rain held off and we snapped some lovely relaxed portraits in advance of their wedding on November 6th. Here are a few that I particularly like.
