Sian & Gerry's Wedding

Sian and Gerry were married at The Clifton Pavilion in Bristol Zoo Gardens on 27th May - what a fantastic venue for a wedding!! The newly refurbished function rooms are upmarket and very classy and, whilst leopard-print carpet sounds dodgy, it's absolutely not and fits in perfectly with the animal theme.
The kilts were out in force (worn in true Scottish fashion!), the weather was superb and the assembled family and friends were as friendly a group as you could possibly hope for.
Doing a photo shoot in the zoo was great fun and capturing the newlyweds hand feeding the Lorikeets from under the safety of an umbrella was a highlight.
Ice creams and pick 'n mix sweets were a quirky and popular way to keep guests amused until the evening reception began.
All in all, a fabulous day - here are some of my personal favourites: -

Sturt family portrait shoot on location

My last commission of the year was a portrait shoot on location in Stourton, Wiltshire, on 28th December.
I love doing outdoor shoots.  The fact that they are informal enables everyone to relax and be themselves, which results in real personalities shining through - no stilted poses or forced smiles here!
As part of a large group of 15, Will Sturt led his family into the beautiful National Trust countryside and performed to perfection for the camera. The Great British Weather did little to dampen everyone's enthusiasm and, despite the drizzle, fog and cold, we spent a fun hour capturing some great images. Here are some of my favourites.  Happy New Year!

Lara and Luke's wedding

Congratulations to Lara and Luke Hiscock who married at St. Peter's and St. Paul's church, Wincanton, on 13th November. A cold but bright autumn day saw Lara brave the chill in a beautiful halter-neck gown, decorated with the most gorgeous beads.
More than a little nervous, Lara took a few minutes to calm herself as the tears welled up at the last minute! Then it was smiles all the way to the altar on the arm of her proud father.
Here are a few that I particularly like.
